Deputy Chief Gary Berendzen consoles Justin Barksdale of Central Callaway Fire District after the body of a 6-year-old was finally recovered from the home that was destroyed by fire overnight in Holt’s Summit, Mo. The fire, at 1718 Lee Street, started around 3:00 am and claimed the lives of three children. CDT story here.
