Pickens’ keynote address kicks off the two-day Missouri Energy Summit at MU. Deputy Chief Gary Berendzen consoles Justin Barksdale of Central Callaway Fire District after the body of a 6-year-old was finally recovered from the home that was destroyed by fire overnight in Holt’s Summit, Mo. It was quite a weekend with ‘ball assignments. It must be spring.

Missouri’s Megan Christopher is greeted by teammates at home plate after hitting a home run in the 11th-ranked Tigers’ 8-0 victory over Texas A&M in Game 1 of the doubleheader at University Field. MU won the second game 9-1.


Missouri center fielder Ryan Lollis (20) robs Oklahoma’s Aaron Baker of a two-run home run in the ninth inning of the Sooners’ 2-1 victory at Taylor Stadium. Lollis turned the catch into a double play when he caught Bryant Hernandez straying off second base.
